About Western Reman Industrial
Western Reman Industrial first opened its doors as a small remanufacturer of automotive, aircraft and industrial size engines and engine components in the early 1950's in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. During the 1970 and 1980's, WRI expanded its product lines into the locomotive market to serve the growing Canadian rail market. In the early 1980's, Western Reman Industrial developed a relationship with one of the largest OEM locomotive manufacturers, to become an authorized remanufacturer of Locomotive, Marine, and Industrial engine components exclusively for the Canadian market.
In 1992, WRI was purchased by Power Investments subsequently Delco Remy International (as of August 2004, Remy International which was then acquired by BorgWarner Inc in 2015). In 1995, WRI expanded into the USA market. This additional business led to the addition of a facility in Peru, Indiana in the later part of 1996. Since then, WRI has enjoyed considerable growth and has been able to expand its services to include component core management, storage and logistics for major OEM manufacturers.
WRI has earned its ISO 9001:2008 quality standing, however we strive to achieve beyond any standard. The use of best practices has enabled us to continue to exceed our customers expectations.
With locations in Canada and the USA, WRI is able to provide exceptional service, quality and price that has positioned us as leaders in the worldwide market.
